AHD CCTV is an analog high definition closed-circuit television video surveillance standard that uses coax cable to transmit HD video from security cameras to DVRs. AHD currently supports 720p HD resolution, however, manufacturers are working on 1080p AHD cameras and recorders right now. I will update this article when 1080p equipment becomes available.
